New Generations assisted at this great race on Sunday 2nd October to see how the teams finished in the GT World Challenge. They were warmly welcomed, with pis boxes where they were able to watch the race in a private grandstand and with access to the VIP grandstand. They then had a guided tour of the teams’ truck area, with access to the parking of many of them, such as Valentino Rosi who has joined the car racing after his amazing career in the world of motorbikes.
The Barcelona Festival of Speed closed the world’s most important GT car series, which this year is called “GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS”. It was organised by Escuderia Targa Iberia. After nine seasons, this SRO Motorsports series incorporates a new identity that gives continuity to those previously known as Blancpain GT Series. The calendar is made up of 10 races in the best circuits of the continent, five of them called Endurance and the other five Sprint, precisely the modality that takes place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in October. In addition to the best GT races of the moment, the Barcelona Festival of Speed will also feature the races corresponding to two championships of undoubted international interest, firstly the novelty in Spain that is the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa, a single-make cup that is raced with the spectacular Huracan Super Trofeo Evo and which is a real premiere in our country. The second series present is the Formula Renault Eurocup, a championship that will come to Barcelona for the second time and in which the drivers of the future are being trained, all at the wheel of an authentic Formula 3 single-seater, the Tatuus T-318 with a 1.8 turbo engine.
